What are Technological Pollutants?Technological Pollutants
Since the 18th century when the Industrial Revolution started, industries have produced millions upon millions of products for mass consumption, most of which contained pollutants.
Aside from the products themselves, the irresponsible manner by which industries produced them have polluted the world’s environment. One very graphic example is the smoke that comes out of these factories.
On the other hand, the obvious example of products of industrialization that gravely harmed our environment is the car that emits harmful gases.
Through more than two centuries, the pollutants that factories and technological products have released to the atmosphere and the environment have now become a major problem of the present world that, if not solved immediately, could threaten human beings’ very existence.
Realizing this threat, companies and organizations have begun to find ways to stop, if not reverse, this dangerous trend. They are now looking for ways to properly dispose of their harmful wastes and by-products.
Ordinary people like us, too, must begin to rethink and adjust our lifestyles in order to help this cause. The first thing we must do is to know how to identify pollutants and how to dispose of them.
It is very important for the youth of our generation to take an active part in the effort to save Mother Earth because, even before they can begin to realize their promise as the future of our generation, they must have a sustainable world to live in.
